‘King of Vintage’ arrives in the UK

Europe’s largest and most renowned archive of vintage fashion, A.N.G.E.L.O., will tour the UK this spring for the first time, with pop-up boutiques at McArthurGlen’s Swindon and York Designer Outlets.

A.N.G.E.L.O.’s specially curated ‘Timeless Style’ exhibition will accompany the pop-up stores in celebration of fashion and style through the ages. The exhibition will include the original bespoke Hermès bag inspired by and created for Jane Birkin, as well as designs worn by American bombshell Marilyn Monroe and 60s pin-up Jane Fonda.

As part of McArthurGlen’s ‘Vintage Festival’, Angelo Caroli, ‘King of Vintage’ and founder of A.N.G.E.L.O., will personally launch his wondrous emporiums at Swindon (30 April to 17 May) and York (21 May to 7 June). This follows a tour of McArthurGlen’s Italian centres last summer.

In the pop-up boutiques, vintage lovers will be able to unearth stunning pieces from the likes of Chanel, Hèrmes, Dior, Versace, Céline, with special VIP weekend events on 2-3 May at Swindon and on 23-24 May at York.

Throughout the festival, shoppers will receive a complimentary limited edition vintage A.N.G.E.L.O. scarf with purchase.

Shaeren McKenzie, Group Marketing Director, McArthurGlen, says: “A.N.G.E.L.O. is one of the most illustrious fashion institutions, renowned for unique pieces that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. A hit with the fashion crème-de-la-crème, what better way to celebrate McArthurGlen’s rich fashion heritage by hosting this vintage heaven. We’re excited to provide our shoppers the ultimate shopping experience with one-off vintage, a specially curated exhibition and up to 60% off our exceptional offering from the top names in fashion.”
