McArthurGlen has entered Germany with a major project in Berlin, which has become one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in Europe. The first phase of Berlin Designer Outlet, designed in an attractive village style, opened in 2009, with the second phase due to open in 2010. McArthurGlen has also been appointed to develop a second designer outlet in Germany – in Neumünster, near Hamburg, Germany’s second largest city.
